Manage equipment

Equipment records help you remember what's running on which tank, when you bought it, and when it might need service.

Add equipment

1. Open Equipment and click New.
2. Pick a tank (or leave unassigned if it's a spare).
3. Set the category — light, return pump, powerhead, skimmer, doser, reactor, controller, heater, ATO, etc.
4. Add brand, model, and optionally a serial number.
5. Set purchase date and warranty notes if you want.

Service reminders

For anything that needs periodic service — skimmer cup cleanings, pump rebuilds, light fan replacements — pair the equipment with a recurring task. The task shows up on the dashboard when it's due.

Replacing equipment

When a piece dies, mark it retired rather than deleting it. The history stays attached to the tank so you can look back at what was running when.
