Create your first tank
Adding a tank takes about a minute. The tank is the anchor for everything else — corals live in tanks, water tests belong to tanks, equipment is assigned to tanks.
Steps
- Open Tanks in the sidebar and click New tank.
- Give it a short name (e.g. Mixed reef 90).
- Set the volume in your preferred unit. You can change the default unit any time in Settings → Preferences.
- Pick a type (mixed reef, SPS-dominant, softie, freshwater, etc.).
- Optionally set target parameter ranges — alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, temperature. The dashboard highlights tests that fall outside these targets.
- Save.
After it's created
You can now:
- Log water parameters for this tank.
- Add corals and assign them to this tank.
- Share it publicly so visitors can view its parameter history.
