Frag a coral and track lineage

When you cut a frag, Coralynx creates a new coral record automatically and remembers that it came from the parent.

Frag from an existing coral

1. Open the parent coral.
2. Click Frag in the action bar.
3. Pick the destination tank (often the same as the parent).
4. Set the new frag's name and any optional fields.
5. Save.

The new frag inherits the parent's species, morph, and source by default. You can override anything before saving.

Lineage tree

From any coral, click Lineage to see a tree showing all parents and children. Click a node to jump to that coral.

Sell or gift a frag

When a frag leaves your system:

1. Open the frag.
2. Change its status to Sold or Gifted.
3. If it's a sale, log a transaction with the buyer and price.

The lineage stays intact even after a frag is sold or dies.
