Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a one-time code from an authenticator app on top of your password. We strongly recommend it for any account that holds business data.

What you'll need

A TOTP authenticator app on your phone:

  • 1Password
  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Any other TOTP-compatible app

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings → Security.
  2. Click Set up two-factor authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the secret manually.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code your app shows to confirm pairing.
  5. Save your backup codes somewhere safe (a password manager is ideal).

From the next sign-in onward, you'll be asked for a code after your password.

Lost your phone?

Use a backup code in place of the 6-digit code. Each backup code works once. You can regenerate the set at any time from Settings → Security.
