Organizations and roles
Coralynx is built around organizations. Every coral, tank, and transaction belongs to an organization, and every user belongs to one or more organizations.
Why organizations
Most reefers will only ever have one. But the structure matters because:
- It lets a club, partnership, or shop have shared inventory.
- It keeps personal and business data separate if you want.
- It makes it easy to leave a shared workspace without losing your own data.
You can switch organizations from the org switcher in the top-left of the sidebar.
Roles
| Role | Read | Write | Members | Billing | | ---- | ---- | ----- | ------- | ------- | | Owner | yes | yes | yes | yes | | Admin | yes | yes | yes | no | | Member | yes | yes | no | no | | Viewer | yes | no | no | no |
Owners can promote and demote anyone. There must always be at least one owner — the system will block you from removing the last one.
Removing a member
Open Settings → Organization → Members, click the member, and use Remove from organization. They lose access immediately. Their personal account and any other orgs they belong to are unaffected.
